Dear friends, partners and colleagues,
As I do every year, I chose to open these pages with a reflection that goes beyond real estate, even though the report that follows will provide meaningful insights into the market.
I believe the year ahead will be a challenging one, perhaps among the most difficult in recent memory. Moreover, we seem to be standing at an important crossroads in modern history, both geopolitically and economically. Times like these call for clarity, courage and responsibility. If we navigate this period well, I am confident that from 2027 onward we will see a positive outcome: a Romania that will be more balanced, more competitive and more resilient.
This year is a very special one for us at Colliers, as we celebrate 30 years of presence in Romania. Reaching such a milestone naturally invites reflection on our legacy and on how we are perceived within the business community. In the absence of a formal study, I will share a personal perspective, hoping that it resonates beyond my own experience. Thinking about our 30 years of presence in the market, I found myself returning to a simple question: I gave you one life. Did you live it? Did you make the world around you better?
So what has Colliers left behind so far?
Having joined Colliers 19 years ago, I have witnessed the “blue story” grow from within. From where I stand, Colliers has been and continues to be a true school for the Romanian real estate market, a place where many professionals have developed and refined not only their skills, but also their values.
I truly believe Colliers is defined by good People who act with care and honesty, and genuinely try their best in their work and beyond it. We are not perfect, but I believe we are grounded, fair and reliable partners. Every day we learn something new that deepens our respect for what we do, and I trust this is reflected in the way we engage with you.
As this is a special year to us, I chose to write a bit more about us, who we are and the values we stand for.
In closing, I would like to thank every client and partner with whom we have built, step by step, everything we have achieved over these 30 years.
And above all, I thank the Colliers team for carrying the blue story forward today, and also to everyone who contributed to shape our legacy over time.
